I've recently read 'The DUFF' by Kody Keplinger and I absolutely loved it. There was just enough drama to keep me reading but not so much that I got virtual whiplash.
I could really relate to this book because as it says, everyone feels like a DUFF [Designated.Ugly.Fat.Friend] at one point, or if you haven't, you don't have friends.
We all have that someone who is extremely good looking, but is so arrogant. In this book, that would be Wesley Rush. The way that this character changes through the course of the book made me smile, cringe, laugh, and almost cry.
The DUFF may not be appropriate for younger customers, though, because it does have some sexual parts in it. Although they aren't too graphic, which is good, it may not be suitable depending on your maturity level.
Overall, I absolutely enjoyed this book. It's a real page-turner and I highly recommend it.
Can't wait until SHUT OUT! comes out in September! :)
